2025: 40 years of faithfulness has prepared us for our future

Would you rather be a mile wide and an inch deep or an inch wide and a mile deep? Dr. Ed Young, one of America’s most respected pastors, often pointed to Isaiah 54:2, saying that to be a mile wide, you must first be a mile deep.

This truth sums up Indian Rocks Christian School’s first four decades. The faithfulness of patriarchal and matriarchal members has made us a mile deep and, in turn, led to our growth. Our founding pastor, Charlie Martin, and founding head of the school, Dr. Max Gessner, are on campus often. We have faculty members who have seen every graduating class. IRCS’ first-ever student was in attendance at the An Indian Rocks Christmas show. These interactions and countless more with our pastoral staff, administrators, faculty, and parents have connected our faithful past to a vision for our future.

The mission of Indian Rocks Christian School has been clarified. It is to prepare students to pursue the call of God in their life in any industry or ministry with a sound mind, servant’s heart, and skilled hands.

The education at Indian Rocks Christian School will focus on producing graduates with a sound mind, servant’s hearts, and skilled hands.

We strive to accomplish this in an atmosphere that values the Bible in all, a community for all, and the best effort from all.

Our mission, portrait of a graduate, and core values are a combination of actual and aspirational. What makes them authentic is how faithfully we strive towards them.

Indian Rocks Christian School is a testament to 40 years of faithfulness that has prepared us for our future in 2025 and beyond. Join us as we pursue His call and train students to do the same.
