Guidance

The mission of the guidance department is to provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program that addresses the academic, social/emotional, and spiritual development of all students. Our goal is to identify and remove barriers to learning while supporting all students’ academic achievement as they prepare for the ever-changing world of the 21st century.

Our Guidance Director

My name is Jacque Revard, and I am the guidance director for our middle and high school students at Indian Rocks Christian School. It is a privilege to serve our students as they prepare to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.

The guidance department identifies students’ academic and social/emotional needs which is essential to helping them develop skills and behaviors critical for academic achievement. We meet with students individually to determine their academic goals and monitor progress toward graduation requirements. We provide necessary interventions with course selections and coordinate distance learning opportunities for remediation or advanced academic needs. The guidance department collaborates with teachers to deliver a Biblically-based program to help students achieve success.

Our Guidance and Admission Departments welcome the opportunity to speak with you. For more information concerning guidance questions for your middle or high school student, feel free to email Jacque_Revard@indianrocks.org. You may also contact, Jeannie Tona at 727.596.4321.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Our College Advisor

My name is Dee Bates, and I am the College Advisor. I consider it a privilege to work with our students as we navigate the college admissions process.

Each year 97% -100% of our seniors attend college in the fall after graduation! It is my desire to make college planning easy. Each student/family meets one-on-one with me to discuss college goals, preferences, and plans. The main objective is to achieve a “best fit” for the student. Whether the outcome is a community college, Christian University or an Ivy League school, each decision is carefully and prayerfully planned with our families.

Preparing for College

As one of the top college prep schools I am especially passionate about assisting and counseling each IRCS high school student as they work toward acquiring acceptance to their college of choice. I have provided some key resources to help get you started! It is my hope that you will find this information valuable as it pertains to a variety of topics such as SAT/ACT testing, four-year high school class planning and course tracks by grade.
