Academic Excellence With A Spiritual Foundation
Indian Rocks Christian School is a college preparatory school committed to helping students achieve academic excellence in preschool through the twelfth grade. Among all the preparatory schools in Pinellas County, and even the entire state, we are confident that our students emerge from our halls the most well-prepared for college.
What Our Students Say
“Indian Rocks Christian School is amazing. I had a blast from kindergarten to my senior year. I’ve always wanted to work in the film/television industry and you’d think living in Largo, FL that it would be a long shot, but going to IRCS helped me get to Los Angeles where I work in both film and television.” –Blair, IRCS Alumna
Preschool
A Valuable Foundation
At IRCS, we believe that a robust preschool experience lays the groundwork for a well-rounded education. We are dedicated to fostering the comprehensive development of our youngest learners — physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually, and spiritually — in an atmosphere characterized by genuine love and concern.
In our preschool program, where innate curiosity thrives, our teachers capitalize on this eagerness to learn. As students embark on the journey of acquiring fundamental skills and developing an understanding of language, math, science, and creative arts, our teachers consistently direct our youngest learner’s attention back to the Creator. This approach ensures that the educational foundation we provide is centered on Christ, creating a learning environment that encompasses both academic growth and spiritual development.
Elementary
Building A Passion For Learning
In the crucial early formative years of elementary school, we recognize that making learning meaningful is pivotal for igniting young minds and cultivating confidence. At IRCS, we seamlessly integrate our classroom curriculum with hands-on learning activities to instill in students a genuine passion for learning, coupled with an understanding of God’s central role as the ultimate source of all knowledge.
Our comprehensive classwork encompasses a broad range of subjects, including reading, spelling, math, language, science, social studies, and the Bible. To ensure a well-rounded elementary education, we provide specialized instruction in technology, art, music, library skills, and physical education. By doing so, we aim to nurture not only academic growth but also the development of vital life skills and a deep appreciation for diverse facets of learning.
Middle School
Fostering a Smooth Transition
Our objective is to ready our students for high school by providing spiritual and academic support. Each middle school student attends a daily Bible class, and our student body convenes for a weekly chapel service every Thursday. Our approach integrates a focus on academic achievement, with options for traditional and pre-honors classes in all subjects. IRCS provides a wide range of electives, extracurricular activities, and varied athletic programs. At IRCS, we aim to equip every student with the skills and understanding needed to create a positive influence in the world.
High School
Paving the Way for Achievement
Our high school curriculum is tailored to ready students for their future educational endeavors. We focus on nurturing students both spiritually and academically, preparing them for higher education and beyond. By fostering academic excellence through honors, advanced placement, and dual credit college courses, IRCS equips each student with the necessary skills and knowledge to make a meaningful difference in the world. Complementing this academic rigor are diverse extracurricular opportunities and a broad spectrum of athletic programs, shaping students into well-rounded individuals poised to embark on their future paths.
