Scholarship and Financial Aid Information
It is the desire of Indian Rocks Christian School to keep tuition as affordable as possible while strictly maintaining the quality of our programs. In an attempt to help families with tuition costs, we offer a few financial assistance opportunities.
1. Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC)/Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES)
(K5 – Grade 12)
FTC and FES are state programs established to expand education opportunities for children from families that have limited financial resources; and enable children to achieve a greater level of excellence in their education. Families may apply for these scholarships by accessing either of the agencies listed below.

2. Variable Tuition
(K5 – Grade 12)
Variable Tuition (VT) is a sliding scale tuition rate determined by multiple factors of a family’s financial means. While every family is expected to contribute to the cost of tuition and to support our Indian Rocks community in some way, the Variable Tuition program offers an appropriate tuition level making a quality Christian school education accessible for families within our community. IRCS encourages families to visit FACTS Management at https://factsmgt.com if they have monetary concerns about their student(s) attending our school and follow the steps below.
A. Create a new FACTS account or login to existing FACTS account
B. Complete an online FACTS application for Financial Aid
C. Submit all required documentation to FACTS including the prior year income tax return
3. Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten
(4 yr. old)
Florida’s Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) education program is open to any child who lives in Florida and turns four years old on or before September 1st of the upcoming school year. Registration is available online at the Early Learning Coalition Pinellas website Florida Early Learning.
4. Betty Shields Minority Scholarship
(for incoming 6th grade – 9th grade students only)
Betty Shields Minority Scholarship was established to provide scholarships to prospective 6th grade-9th grade minority students who have 1. a strong desire to attend a Christian School 2. a strong Christian character and 3. leadership potential. The nomination process is open each year from December 1st until noon of the second Friday of January and is for the upcoming school year. Nominations made after that date and time will not be accepted. If you have any questions concerning this scholarship, please contact the Admissions Office at 727-596-4342.
5. Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities
(FES-UA; formerly Gardiner/McKay)
Indian Rocks Christian School does accept the FES-UA Scholarship. Due to the nature of this scholarship, please contact the Admissions Office at 727-596-4342 to determine if we are able to meet the needs of your student.
