Equipping Leaders to Share the Gospel Across the World

At Indian Rocks Christian School, students impact the world in positive ways long before graduation. Through various community outreach projects, we have built a culture of serving. Our Mini-mester is a high school mission trip program that provides an opportunity for students to travel locally, nationally, or internationally to spread the Gospel while meeting the tangible needs of others. Over the years we have sent approximately 2,726 students and 380 adults to over 26 different countries and 13 different states.

Cornerstone of Christian Education

Since it was initiated in 2002, Mini-Mester has become a cornerstone component of the Christian educational process at IRCS. Our first Mini-Mester began with two trips; one to Guatemala and the other to inner-city New York. We currently offer 10-15 outreaches per year from which our students can choose. Whatever the destination, it is our main objective to expose students to a variety of ministry opportunities, giving students the prospect for discipleship and spiritual growth in their lives.

“The goal of every mission trip is to go and be a blessing to the people of the area you are visiting, but I can promise you that in some way or another you always come back being the one who was blessed. One of the many blessings that is inevitable about mission trips, is that you will make new friends, and get to share memories with those friends that will surely never be forgotten.” – Conner, IRCS Class of ‘16

Preparing for Service

As students prepare for trips, they study on campus to learn the country’s language, culture and customs. This allows them to most effectively serve those in need. In the college application process, our students knowledge and experience with other cultures often provides a competitive edge. But more importantly, they experience what it means to make a difference in the world, and leave prepared for a life of service.

Supporting Our Teams

Anyone can be involved with Mini-Mester by praying for our students and the people they will minister to. Pray for our group leaders, and pray that each team would have all their needs met as they travel. There are also opportunities to sponsor a student or a team. For more information contact [email protected].

Current Students and Parents

Preparing for Mini-Mester? Students and parents are required to read and sign the Mini-Mester Guidelines Form. If students do not wish to participate in a ministry trip, they may complete a work-study internship or college visit.
