How will you spend these moments right now?

That’s the question Seth Fitchett, IRCS Class of 2026, addressed to IRCS students, family members, and supporters at our inaugural Convocation ceremony.

On Wednesday, August 14th, Indian Rocks Christian School began its 40th year with the theme 40 For His Glory. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade gathered together to start the year with a ceremony that has been described as a pre-game pep talk wrapped up in a church service.

Pastor Aaron Filippone opened the event reminding our students that God placed each of them at IRCS for a purpose. At Indian Rocks, we’re here to come alongside each family to provide invaluable resources and a lifegiving community to our Indian Rocks Family.

In addition to worship from a team of students, alumni, and Indian Rocks staff and faculty, attendees were able to hear from Dr. Chris Hobbs, IRCS Head of School. He encouraged our students to pursue excellence by reading their Bibles and praying every day, doing things the best way possible with what they have, and encouraging others.

We couldn’t imagine a better way to kick off the school year! Now, we look forward to the 40th year of Indian Rocks Christian School with our hearts and minds aligned to committing everything we do this year FOR HIS GLORY!
